SKF Explorer Series Bearings
Explorer is a new generation of SKF spherical roller bearings that provide previously unattainable benefits in a wide range of applications.

Explorer bearings afford several times longer life than standard spherical roller bearings. The new bearings' extended lives offer valuable downsizing or upgrading opportunities for engineers working on both new and existing designs. Explorer bearings make it possible to reduce overall dimensions, achieve material cost and weight reductions, and also increase energy efficiency. A smaller bearing runs cooler and generates less vibration.
SKF Y-bearings, which are usually refered to as insert bearings, are basically sealed deep groove ball bearings in the 62 and 63 series with a convex sphered outer surface. These bearings are manufactured in a number of different series and sizes and are available with standard inner ring or an inner ring that is extended on one or both sides.

The various bearing series differ in the way the bearing is located onto the shaft.

Large Size Bearings
Large size bearings be it Spherical roller bearings, Cylindrical roller bearings or taper roller bearings, SKF has a bearing for every application in Steel, Cement, Heavy engineering, Mining & Power.

SKF 4-Row spacer less taper roller bearings  makes mounting simple, maintenance easy and improved load distribution leading to reduce wear and longer service life.

Linear Motion and Precision Products
SKF Actuation & Motion Control are found within a wide range of industries including machine tool, medical, health care, ergonomics, factory automation, food, and electronics/semiconductor production. The business is mainly comprised of 8 business lines:
        Actuation Systems
        Ball and Roller Screws -
        High performance Cylinders

Spherical Plain Bearings
In roller screws the load is transmitted from the nut to the shaft through the barreled surfaces of all the engaged rollers. The diameter of the surface contact area is dramatically increased as it the number of contact points.

Machine tool bearings for metal cutting spindles, vertical boring mill tables, pallet fixtures or other specialized machine tool applications are a special knowledge base offered by SKF

Polluted environments? What causes bearing failure?
Analysis of the origins of bearing failures showed about 40% of total cases were caused by contamination, such as particles and fibers accessing the area where rolling contact takes place: lubrication problems like polluted lubricant or loss of lubricant and corrosion due to inefficient bearing seals. Sealed High precision bearings solve your problems
A new generation of spherical plain bearings and rod ends is bringing new levels of performance in a broad range of application areas.

SKF is introducing a new generation of PTFE-fabric lined bearings. The TX-Line bearings show superior performance to the previous plain bearing design and will thus replace it.

The TX-Line spherical plain bearings are designed to support heavier loads for longer or the same load for even longer. It fits perfectly into SKF's ambition to provide maintenance-free products and solutions to their customers.
